About

Welcome to 3rab Art. I'll be bringing you Arab art, design and music from the Middle East and the Arab diaspora. This isn't the only source for it (check out my links for more) but I'll try to make it one of the better ones. If you're looking for Nancy Ajram this isn't the place to be. I'll be trying to explore and expose artists with a little more social consciousness and a little less plastic surgery.

I don't discriminate. Be it visual art, performance, music of all genres, architecture, fashion or what have you, it'll be here. My disclaimer: I'm no art connoisseur or curator, and since I live in the States I'm not always going to have the best connections here, however I'll share interesting art that's caught my eyes, ears and the rest of my senses. If it seems like I have a lot of Lebanese stuff it's because I'm Lebanese and have more exposure to it. Having a lot of music and film is also a product of these two media being more accessible on the internet than others.

About me:
My name is Bahij. I'm a Lebanese-American architecture student. I live in New York City. I have a passion for Arab arts and current events among other things, like riding a rusty creaky bike through the city.

My arabic is mediocre, but I'm working on it.

Favorite thing to do: Travel
Favorite food: Anything I can eat while I walk
What I hate: People who don't stop talking
